Floyd 1975
"Wish You Were Here"
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
~Roger Waters,
'Wish you were here' 1975 Pink Floyd
This has been playing on my mind and my music system this weekend. As usual, there is a song for every weekend I spend alone. One week down and 9 to go!

great track by floyd.
What is this countdown for 9 weeks for!!
On the contrary the song on my mind is "Welcome to the Machine" from the same Floyd album :-)
@ shivalik - Countdown to when the 'wishing' will finish, shall be back in India :) yeaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!
@Marooned - Welcome to the Machine is not a nice song..according to me..
I've seen Roger Water's perform this song live at Bangalore. Marooned was also there. It was a phenomenal experience. :)
@Monkeyji..wow! I know Marooned went for the Floyd concert in London last summer as well..
